
Alyson Wise
Senior Philanthropy and Family Governance Advisor
Ms. Wise is Principal and Senior Philanthropy and Family Governance Advisor at Bessemer Trust. In this role, she leads the Western and Central region advisory practice to empower rising family leaders, strengthen family governance, and advance meaningful philanthropic impact. She leverages 20 years of experience in leadership development, philanthropy, and family advising.
Prior to joining Bessemer in 2019, Alyson led an economic empowerment impact portfolio at the Rockefeller Foundation and co-led next-generation programs for the Andrus family at the Surdna Foundation.
She serves as a board member of University Synagogue and has held roles on numerous nonprofit boards and advisory groups. She is an experienced facilitator and author of next-generation philanthropy curricula.
Alyson earned an M.P.A. from New York University, where she was a Lisa Goldberg Philanthropy Fellow, and a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College. She is certified as a multigenerational facilitator (21/64) and a family business advisor (FFI).
