Joseph S. Tanious

Mr. Tanious is Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Strategy and Construction at Bessemer Trust. In this role, he is responsible for developing policies on asset allocation, customized portfolio strategies, and implementation. He also performs macroeconomic research and financial market analysis in order to deliver customized asset allocation and investment recommendations to clients. He is a member of the firm’s Investment Policy and Strategy Committee.

Prior to joining Bessemer, Joe was a global market strategist at J.P. Morgan Asset Management. Before that, he worked at Wells Fargo Asset Management as Regional Director, responsible for institutional sales.

He is a frequent guest on Bloomberg TV and CNBC, has appeared on PBS’ Nightly Business Report, and is often quoted in the financial press.

Joe earned an M.B.A. in finance and economics from Columbia Business School, where he was awarded the Robert A. Toigo Foundation Fellowship, and a B.A. in economics from the University of California, Irvine. He is a CFA® charterholder.
