Christian S. Thornburg

Mr. Thornburg is Managing Director, National Director of Client Advisory, and Senior Client Advisor at Bessemer Trust. As National Director of Client Advisory, he oversees all client advisor activities across the firm. In his role as Senior Client Advisor, he leads a team responsible for providing clients with proactive, highly personalized advice across Investment Management, Wealth Planning, and Family Office Services. He is a member of the firm’s Management Committee.

Prior to joining Bessemer, Christian was Portfolio Manager at Northern Trust.

He is a member of the Florida and North Carolina Bar Associations.

Christian earned a J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School and a B.S. in business administration from the University of Vermont, where he 
played Division I tennis and captained the team his senior year. He holds the Accredited Estate Planner® and Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor designations and is an Honors Graduate of the Cannon Financial Institute Personal Trust Administration Program.
