Jeffrey A. Rutledge

Mr. Rutledge is Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Bessemer Trust. In this role, he leverages the firm’s best thinking and works collaboratively with a team of highly experienced analysts and researchers to manage our Large Cap Global Equities Strategy. He is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee and the Real Assets Investment Committee. He previously served as Portfolio Manager for Large Cap Core and Large Cap Strategies, as a team leader for the industrial and utilities sectors of global equities, and as a research analyst for the U.S. Mid Cap equity portfolio.

Prior to joining Bessemer in 2004, Jeff was a research associate at Bear Stearns, covering aerospace/defense electronics and wireline telecommunication. Before that, he served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps in various assignments. He is a veteran of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, attaining the final rank of Major.

Jeff earned an M.S., with distinction, in management-finance from the Naval Postgraduate School and a B.S. in industrial engineering from Lehigh University. He is a CFA® charterholder.
