Peter J. McGuinness

Mr. McGuinness is Managing Director and Senior Client Advisor at Bessemer Trust. In this role, he leads a team responsible for providing clients with proactive, highly personalized advice across Investment Management, Wealth Planning, and Family Office Services. He leverages more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Prior to joining Bessemer in 2011, Peter was Managing Director and Senior Private Banker at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Before that, he managed a team of private bankers focusing on trust and estate matters. Prior to focusing on private banking, Peter was an officer within J.P. Morgan’s Investment Bank, where he planned and administered stock incentive and non-qualified deferral plans.

He is active in community matters and was a founding board member of a New York City secondary school.

Peter earned an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and a J.D. and B.S. from St. John’s University. He is a licensed attorney in New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts and is a CFP® professional.
