Peter D. Hayward

Mr. Hayward is Principal and Portfolio Manager at Bessemer Trust. In this role, he leverages the firm’s best thinking and works collaboratively with a team of highly experienced analysts to manage our taxable fixed income portfolios. He is a member of the firm’s Investment Policy and Strategy Committee and Banking Committee. Previously, he served as a fixed income research and trading assistant. He joined Bessemer in 2009.

He is an adjunct professor at Fordham University, having taught classes in financial modeling, portfolio management, and security and investment analysis.

Peter earned an M.B.A., with distinction, specializing in finance and economics from the New York University Stern School of Business, where he received the Ernest Kurnow award for excellence in statistics. He earned a B.S., summa cum laude, in business administration specializing in finance from The College of New Jersey, where he received the ETS Award for earning the highest grade on the annual School of Business Major Field Test.
