Johannes Reis

Mr. Reis is Principal and Head of Hedge Funds at Bessemer Trust. In this role, he leads a team responsible for external hedge fund manager research, including sourcing, analyzing, and monitoring. In addition, his team oversees the construction and management of multi-manager portfolios, focusing on optimal investment solutions for clients.

Prior to joining Bessemer in 2022, Johannes served as Global Co-Head of Hedge Funds at Deutsche Bank Wealth Management, where he was responsible for manager research, bespoke client portfolio solutions, and the oversight of all hedge fund offerings across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Earlier in his career, he was a senior hedge fund investment analyst at Everest Babcock & Brown, a multi-family office, and a market strategist at Anchor Point Asset Management, a global macro hedge fund. He also worked for J.P. Morgan Chase, holding roles as a currency and equity strategist, interest rate derivatives market maker, and proprietary trader.

Johannes earned a B.A. in economics from Boston University. He is a CAIA® charterholder.
