Danish Munir is Founding Partner at GreyMatter Capital, a venture firm dedicated to advancing innovation in the mental health space. Previously Danish co-founded Genoa Telepsychiatry, one of the first telepsychiatry companies to scale (acquired by Optum), which at the time of its acquisition was the largest telepsych company serving 250K patient visits annually in 35 states. After seeing the evolution of digital mental health at Optum, he decided to dedicate his next act in mental health to taking a systems level approach in improving the entrepreneurial journey for the next generation of founders.

Danish is also a founder at Watershed Ventures, a venture capital firm that harnesses the power of entrepreneurs from non-traditional backgrounds to cause transformative change in industries that matter, including healthcare. Danish serves on the Investment Committee at Watershed and has been personally investing and advising behavioral health startups since 2011.

Danish started his career at Microsoft in Data Science & Analytics. He received a Bachelor of Science and Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He considers both Karachi and New York home.
