Joan C. Brunelle

Chief Human Resources Officer

Ms. Brunelle is Chief Human Resources Officer at Bessemer Trust. In this role, she is responsible for human capital strategy and oversight of talent management and development, total rewards, HR technology, and administration, as well as advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion programs and processes. She is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and Management Committee.  

Prior to joining Bessemer, Joan was Vice President at OppenheimerFunds, Inc., responsible for Human Resources in the Institutional and the Investment Management divisions. Before that, she was Vice President at Deutsche Bank, responsible for human resources integration. Prior to relocating to the U.S., Joan led Deutsche Bank’s Canadian HR group. 

Joan earned a B.A. in English from Queen’s University, Canada. She is a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and holds an executive coaching certification from Baruch College.
