David E. McNeel

Managing Director and Central Region Head

 

Mr. McNeel has responsibility for Bessemer’s operations in the Central United States, including the Chicago and Dallas offices. Previously, he served as Senior Resident Officer for the Chicago office. He is a member of Bessemer’s Officers Committee.

Prior to joining Bessemer in 1996, Mr. McNeel was Head of the Personal Investments and Trust Department of the First National Bank of Chicago, and a member of the Bank’s Investment and Fiduciary Policy Committees. Prior business experience included positions in corporate banking at Chemical Bank in New York and Chicago.

Mr. McNeel received a B.A. degree in Economics from The College of William & Mary and an M.A. in Economics from Vanderbilt University.

Mr. McNeel is a Trustee of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Newberry Library. He currently serves on the Boards of the Chicago Chamber Musicians, The Solti Foundation U.S., and the Advisory Council of the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art/Eastman Memorial Foundation.
