Michael A. Marquez
Chief Client Officer and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Marquez is Chief Client Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Bessemer Trust. In this role, he is responsible for client relationships and leads strategic initiatives to enhance the client experience, deepen engagement, and reinforce the firm’s culture of advice and service. In addition, he oversees comprehensive plans across information technology, operations, and family office management. Michael is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and Management Committee. Previously, he served as Southeast Region Head and Regional Director.
Prior to joining Bessemer, Michael was Managing Director at J.P. Morgan, advising clients of the private and investment banks. He began his career at PwC.
He is Chapter Chair of YPO New York City and serves on the board of the New York Youth Symphony. He is the former board chair of The Miami Foundation and the Pérez Art Museum Miami’s Investment Advisory Committee.
Michael earned an M.B.A., with honors, from Columbia Business School and a B.S., magna cum laude, in accounting from Boston College. He is a CPA and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
