Managing Director, Regional Director, and Senior Fiduciary Counsel

 

Mr. Kern is Managing Director, Regional Director, and Senior Fiduciary Counsel at Bessemer Trust. In these roles, he is responsible for working with clients and their advisors to develop practical and efficient wealth transfer plans involving Delaware law and for guiding the firm on fiduciary issues.

Prior to joining Bessemer, George served as Fiduciary Manager with J.P. Morgan Trust Company of Delaware. Before that, he was a practicing estates and trusts attorney in Pennsylvania and Delaware.

He is a member of the Delaware Bar Association, where he sits on its Trust Act Drafting Committee, and is a past Chair of its Estates and Trust Section. George is also a member of the Delaware Estate Planning Council as well as the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

George earned a J.D. from the Delaware Law School of Widener University, an LL.M. in taxation from Villanova University School of Law, and a B.A. in international relations from Ursinus College.
