George W. Kern, V is Principal and Senior Resident Officer/Associate Fiduciary Counsel residing in Bessemer Trust’s Delaware office. Prior to joining the company in 2006, Mr. Kern served as Fiduciary Manager and Vice President with J.P. Morgan Trust Company of Delaware. Before that, he was a practicing estates and trusts attorney in Pennsylvania and Delaware.

Mr. Kern is an active member of the Delaware Bar Association and currently serves as Vice-Chair of its Trust and Estates Section. He is also member of its Trust Act Drafting Committee. In addition, Mr. Kern is a member of the Philadelphia and Delaware Estate Planning Councils as well as a member of the international organization, Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Mr. Kern earned a B.A. in International Relations from Ursinus College in Pennsylvania, a J.D. from Widener University School of Law in Delaware, and an LL.M. in Taxation from Villanova University School of Law.
