Mr. Haverstick joined Bessemer Trust in 2011 and is a Principal in the Client Acquisition and Advisory Group in the New York office.

Prior to joining Bessemer, Mr. Haverstick spent more than thirty years working with private clients, first as a trust and estates attorney and later in the financial services industry. He was, successively, a Managing Director at each of Kidder Peabody, Prudential Securities, Lehman Brothers and Deutsche Bank and President of Morgan Stanley Trust Company. Most recently, Mr. Haverstick was Chief Executive Officer at Boxwood Strategic Advisors, a firm he founded in 2007 to advise wealthy entrepreneurs and business owners on their personal finances.

Mr. Haverstick is a graduate of St. Paul’s School, where he also served as a trustee and president of the Alumni Association, Yale College and Columbia University School of Law. He is a former trustee of The Pingry School in New Jersey and former member of the Board of Regents of Georgetown University. Recently, he served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Ackerman Institute for the Family in New York City.
