Mr. Stern has overall responsibility for investments, including asset allocation, strategic portfolio direction, and research. He is Chairman of the Investment Policy and Strategy Committee and a member of the Management Committee. Prior to joining Bessemer in 2004, Mr. Stern led the private client investment team at Bernstein Investment Research & Management. Mr. Stern previously served as Director of Acquisitions for a division of PepsiCo, Inc. and as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company.

Mr. Stern earned a B.S. in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia. As a Trustee for The Town School in New York City, he serves as chair of the finance and endowment committees.
