Marc D. Stern
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Stern is the CEO of The Bessemer Group, Incorporated and The Bessemer Trust Companies. He served as Bessemer’s chief investment officer from August 2004 to July 2012. Previously, Mr. Stern led the private client investment team at Bernstein Investment Research & Management, was director of acquisitions for a division of PepsiCo, Inc., and was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company.
Mr. Stern earned a B.S. in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1984 and an M.B.A. from the Darden School at the University of Virginia in 1988. He serves as a trustee for The Town School in New York City.
