Mr. Hilton is the President and Chief Executive Officer of The Bessemer Group, Incorporated and The Bessemer Trust Companies. Mr. Hilton joined Bessemer Trust in 1993, where he successfully opened the firm’s Chicago office. In 2000, he became the head of New York headquarters, where he was responsible for overseeing client acquisition and client account management in the Northeast, Central and Western regions. He was subsequently appointed Chief Operating Officer, and in 2002, was named President and Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to joining Bessemer Trust, Mr. Hilton was a managing director for The Deerpath Group of Lake Forest, Illinois. Earlier he served as an executive director of Merrill Lynch & Co's Private Capital Group in Chicago. He began his career at Citibank in 1969 and served in offices in New York City, Syracuse, Houston and Rio de Janeiro.

Mr. Hilton received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Vermont. He serves on the Boards of Directors of the Mebane Charitable Foundation, the Churchview Building Corporation, and the Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars. Mr. Hilton also serves on the Board of Trustees of the University of Vermont.
