Bessemer Trust Appoints Rebecca H. Patterson as Chief Investment Officer
NEW YORK, June 19, 2012 – Bessemer Trust has named Rebecca H. Patterson as Chief Investment Officer.
Effective July 16, Ms. Patterson will work with Bessemer’s investment team on all aspects of investment management, including asset allocation, strategic portfolio direction and research. She replaces and will report to Marc D. Stern, who was named Chief Executive Officer-elect in January 2012.
According to John A. Ms. Patterson joins Bessemer from J.P. Morgan Asset Management, where she acted as Chief Markets Strategist. In that role, she also headed the global Client Advisory Group and was a member of the Private Bank’s Investment Committee. Previously, Ms. Patterson was Global Head of Currencies and Commodities for the Private Bank.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan as a research analyst in 1997, she was a journalist who covered economics and financial markets for Dow Jones and the Associated Press.

Ms. Patterson earned an MBA from New York University, an MA in international economics from Johns Hopkins University and a BS in journalism from University of Florida.
