Bessemer Trust Appoints Joseph S. Tanious, CFA, as Principal and Investment Strategist

NEW YORK, September 22, 2014 — Bessemer Trust today announced that Joseph S. Tanious, CFA, has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as principal and investment strategist. With over 15 years of investment experience, Mr. Tanious is primarily responsible for developing and communicating Bessemer’s investment strategies to clients as well as helping them develop customized investment plans. Mr. Tanious will report to Peter J. Langas, managing director and head of Investment Strategies.

“Given the breadth and depth of Joe’s experience, his global insights will be a valuable resource to Bessemer as he works with clients to help them understand our dynamic investment approach,” said Mr. Langas.

Prior to joining Bessemer, Mr. Tanious was executive director and global market strategist in asset management at J. P. Morgan, and held a previous position as an associate. Previously, he was regional director of institutional sales at Wells Fargo Private Wealth Management.

Mr. Tanious earned an M.B.A. in Finance and Economics from Columbia Business School and a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Irvine. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder. Mr. Tanious is a frequent guest on CNBC, Bloomberg, and PBS Nightly Business Report.
